For this “Kohle Krusade”, Kristian has teamed up with one of Europe's most legendary Hardcore bands No Turning Back(NL) to record 5 songs live in the studio.

Recorded Live at Legendary "Studio Propast"

In order to capture the perfect live sound, we needed to get into a great studio with the right vibe. “Studio Propast” (designed by Andy Munro) close to Prague (CZ) was the perfect fit!

Studio Propast is one of Eastern Europe's finest studios, owned by Czech's biggest rockstar Petr Janda. The studio's fantastic sounding live room, its big SSL 4000 console, the massive Dynaudio main monitors, as well as the typical 1990s high-end studio design brought us right back into a time when Metal productions still sounded raw and hardcore!

No Turning Back have been an integral part of the European Hardcore scene since the 1990 and are well known for their intense live shows. This session was the perfect way to celebrate their 25th anniversary. All the songs from this session will be released as an EP in 2023. So what you are about to witness is a real production for a real release!

Capture Killer Vocal Recordings

In order to preserve the spirit of the live session this shows how Kristian Kohle records the lead, backing vocals using a hand held microphone.

This chapter includes the soundcheck (microphone choice and compression) and the entire recording and editing session for one of the songs.
